What’s in the water, and what it does
Builds scale inside your pipes, water heater and dishwasher, so they work harder and wear out sooner. It’s also the white residue on your faucets and the film on your glasses.
Minerals the water picks up from rock before it ever reaches the treatment plant. City treatment makes water safe to drink. It doesn’t take the hardness out.

No to both. A technician comes out, tests your water, and walks you through what the results mean. If your water doesn’t need treating, that’s the answer you get and there’s nothing to pay.
About 30 minutes at your kitchen sink. You get the results the same visit and we leave the full report with you. Nothing is sent away to a lab and there’s no second appointment to sit through.

It is, and it meets federal safe-drinking-water standards. Those standards are about safety, not about hardness. The minerals that scale up your pipes, spot your glasses and eat through your water heater are all still in there, because they’re not a health problem. That’s the gap a softener closes.
It depends on what the test finds, how big the house is, and whether you need softening only or filtration as well, which is exactly why we don’t quote a number before testing.
